Rescue & Surrender Program

Most of the cats and kittens at 9 Whiskers Lounge come from our trusted local shelter partners—but we also open our hearts and doors to cats rescued by individuals or surrendered by owners, when space allows.

​While we don’t have our own in-house vet, we do have a team of passionate, cat-loving humans who are ready to do the hard part:

take them off your hands, foster them with love, and care for them until they find a forever home. Our lounge provides a safe, cozy space where cats can adjust at their own pace, make feline friends, and soak up attention from kindhearted visitors. You can even follow their journey—and celebrate their adoption—through our social media updates.

Rescued a Cat or Kitten?

If you’ve rescued a cat or kitten and would like us to take over fostering and finding them a home, we may be able to help if space is available. A $500 donation per cat/kitten helps cover:

• Medical expenses

• Fostering and care

• Staff support

• Socialization and adoption outreach

Need to Surrender Your Cat?

We understand that life circumstances change. If you need to surrender your cat or kitten, we may be able to help. To qualify, we require:

• Updated medical records

• Rabies, FVRCP, and FeLV vaccines

• Proof of spay/neuter

• Microchip information (if applicable)

A $500 donation per cat/kitten allows us to cover transition care, staff time, fostering, and any unexpected health needs.

We know this donation is not small, but every dollar supports a safe and compassionate journey for your cat into their next chapter—and we promise to treat them like family.
